If that were an issue, it would manifest at the IdP by way of a stale request error, unless the iframe origin on the other end is itself not part of the same domain as the "outer" service (that's certainly possible of course).

An error message *from* the SP isn't a frame problem with respect to the IdP, again unless the frame mismatch is between the outer origin and the SP's framed origin.
