IDP SAMLAuthnConfiguration - AuthnRequest extension

Hello,

Is there any way to provide template for / define AuthnRequest with
extensions, to be sent by IDP when acting as SAML proxy? Similar to what
can be achieved with SP's SessionInitiator. In our case, the proxied IDP
expects user's language selection to come in form of an AuthnRequest
extension.

If not (and my documentation and mailing list would indicate so), could
someone point me in the direction which of the ways to implement idp
extensions would be suitable for such task? Something in terms of
implementing a custom action and adding it to a custom profile based on the
standard SAML2.SSO one sounds reasonable?
