In effect it was my feeling that us saying "to use Shibboleth to do FIDO, you need to install and learn PrivacyIdea" was not going to be a story that would sway a lot of people.
So it became a lesser priority to me to ship that vs. continuing to monitor developments, wait for Passkeys (which are out now) and eventually once V5 ships take stock and decide what our options are.
I continue to solicit help with the portal problem anywhere I can socialize it, but nothing really has developed on that front.
If in the end nothing else emerges, then it's just going to be a pretty simple demand determination. If there's enough interest in PrivacyIdea, clearly we have a solution for that available to evolve and the author was working to get it Apache licensed so that we'd have the freedom down the road to accept it as a contribution or work on it jointly.
