Don't hold your breath, their backlog tends to be measured in decades.

I wasn't aware of the issue. All of this is ulitmately a style thing. The feedback has always been that it's too intimidating to have long pages, and too unwieldy to have lots of smaller ones. There's probably a balance to strike and moving some of the expanded content into separate Advanced pages might be better.

The time to do it is now because the space will get cloned again to start building the V5 docs and we would probably want to do it before then.
