I'm going to make an observation and suggest you try something; it may sound a bit strange.

It's very unlikely to be your problem, but I note that you are using OpenJDK 11.0.14 rather than the current 11.0.15. If you're running "real" RHEL 8, or Alma or Rocky, you should find that you can update those to 11.0.15 and I suggest you do so and retry.

I'd normally be extremely sceptical of anyone who came to me and suggested that there might be a visible issue between two quarterly Java patches, but I've just finished bottoming out a problem which turned out to be exactly that, with 11.0.14 having apparently picked up a bug which was then fixed again in 11.0.15.

So, probably not your issue, but it can't hurt to eliminate the possibility.
