[EXT] RE: Issue with upgrade from 4.0.1.1 to 4.2.1

Was not aware of that.  We had been using the root site for a while as a check for our Nagios system to verify that the site is actually update an available.  I was just doing some additional testing and it appears it does still work, but when I go to http://localhost is when I get the 403.  If I go to http://localhost/index.html the page shows as expected. Just going to update my alerting for the full URL and that should fix it.

It is unsupported to put anything inside jetty-base except editing start.d\idp.ini.  I suspect that something that used to work serendipitously got broken with the move to jetty 10.

There is limited support for static data to be served out, but that's about it.  Our recommendation for what you want to do is to deploy and manage your own container.

If it were I, I would use jetty & procrun (which we ship as "shibd_idp.exe" and "shibd_idpw.exe") and look at the configuration that the installer sets up - that's the only complicated part and with it being Windows you don't have any of the "The port numbers are less than 1024 so you have to jump through hoops" to worry about.
