Customizing attribute display names with the attribute registry

Hi, all,

I'm starting to migrate our configuration to the attribute registry. We've had our own display names for attributes in our attribute definitions for a few years for use by the consent flow. These include friendly names for the eduPerson and inetOrgPerson attributes. We'd like to retain our friendly names if possible. I'm looking for advice for the best way to do this.

I could obviously just modify the XML files shipped wit the IdP that contain eh attribute registry definitions, but is that a bad idea in case of future additions to those files?

I also don't know if I can/should re-define those attributes in other rule files in the registry instead of modifying the file shipped with the IdP.

What would be the best way to change display names of attributes in the registry that's relatively future-proof?
