Thanks Rod, making progress.

….Shibboleth.sso/DiscoFeed results in a page with empty square brackets. Should I be expecting a (unit-) list of endpoints?

I will back-out and re-add as you suggest (but probably not today…)

Well in that case I'd check that the JSON feed (/Shibboleth.sso/DiscoFeed) is OK.

The I'd back out all your local changes (all the this.DEVS_xxxx stuff) and then add them back in one at a time.  I'm not 100%
convinced you have that set up the way you think you have;  for instance you have this.defaultReturn pointing to what looks like an
IdP end point.

....... And if you are trying to co-install and idP and an SP on the same host my strongest suggestion is don't.  It seems like a
good idea to a neophyte (we've all been there, done that) but it is well nigh impossible to do and still keep an understanding of
what's going on and where you are.
