I've gotten SAML integration requests from two vendors lately who have obviously been doing a lot of work with ADFS and azure AD. One of the optional pieces of information they've asked for is the name of an optional parameter that they can pass to our IdP to pre-populate the username field with whatever email address the user entered on their service before they directed the user to the IdP. This is just like the O365 login or the Sign into Work or School Account screens from Microsoft where they ask for your email address which then gets passed to aDFS or Azure AD so you don't have to type it a second time.

I'm quite sure there's no way, out of the box, to do this with Shibboleth. Has anyone figured out any ways to do this, though? My guess is no since I see no easy way for a parameter like that to make it all the way through to the plumbing for the login page. But I figured I'd ask.
