I wasn't referring to you (by definition, you didn't copy the flow), or even necessarily the original person you inherited the code from, I was just noting that no matter what we say, people will do it, and hand their code off to people like you who end up paying the price. Your case is just an instructive example in the archive of why we warn against it so I wanted to note *why* it broke, not just that it did.
