ContextCheckInterceptConfiguration check for null attribute

Is there a simple way to intercept when an attribute is undefined / null without resorting to  writing a script.
I have been using the following to intercept when an attribute equals a specific value.
<bean class="net.shibboleth.idp.profile.logic.SimpleAttributePredicate"
                        p:useUnfilteredAttributes="true">
