Does that mean inorder to use the collapsed version, I just need to modify
it to  xmlns="urn:mace:shibboleth:2.0:resolver"? Basically omitting the
trailing :ad. I did see  that the error message did go away.  Is there
anything else I need to do to ensure it is using the ad version of the name
space?

is the Custom Syntax incorrect? It shows xmlns=
"urn:mace:shibboleth:2.0:resolver:ad".
