Webanno Integration

I have a team wanting to integrate our Shib IDP with Webanno,

https://webanno.github.io/webanno/documentation/

The docs seem to indicate the platform was developed using nginx as the proxy and uses Spring Security.

Has anyone integrated this app with the Shib IDP and perhaps using the Shib SP?
