Cisco Jabber Single Sign On Integration

Hi All,
We are having some difficulty integrating Cisco’s Jabber application with our University of Chicago’s IDP. Cisco claims that they support SAML 2.0 and have successfully integrated SSO with ADFS. Anyone else have had successfully integrated Jabber with Shibboleth? The issue resides that Jabber somehow cannot identify the uid attribute from the assertion. They are requesting to have the assertion to be signed and to have only one FriendlyName attribute to be sent. We’re both doing those things but after the user sings in to the IDP and gets redirected to the SP, the SP sends another authNRequest which the IDP responds with another Response.
Thank you and let me know if I can provide more details. We’re going live with this application soon and we are almost there to have it fully setup.
Best,
