I would also add that it's now possible to pretty trivially produce your own set at any time, which is not something we put the documentation together for yet, but it's very simple:

* Get a host with Docker on it.
* Clone cpp-linux in git.
* Run make

The official set came from a Macbook Air. The only rubicon I didn't cross was using an M1 Mac out of the obvious sense of conservatism.

That was a direct investment by the Consortium to locate a new contributor and pay them to put that together so we could finally make it a simple and reproducible process.
