Well, my quick supposition isn't holding up. Our tests exercise the default wiring and it works. I don't think it's possible that you could be installing it from scratch and configuring it without trying to follow old docs, use old files, or some other wrinkle (including the docs just being wrong).

I couldn't initially see the bean I was looking for in the file but I see it now.

You can file a bug, but you'd have to very explicit with the settings you're trying to use and the steps being followed.
