An entityID is a name (of formal type "anyURI", so the name is
formulated as a URI, of which URNs are one example).
It is the name of your IDP, period.
There's nothing else to it, technially.
If this turns out to break something their end (e.g. when they're
trying to pull metadata from the entityID's value, which will fail
with URNs) they have identified a bug in their system.
