Adding eduPersonTargettedID to the audit log?

While reviewing our IdP audit log entries for ingestion into our
Elastic Stack, I wondered if we could log the eduPersonTargettedID
attribute value as well.  We current compute it and store it in a
database, but if it was logged we could dispense with the database,
simplifying our infrastructure.

However, a while searching the internet has not turned up any examples
of doing this.

Does anyone do this already, or have any pointers or advice?
