A DataConnector's Dependencies

Hi,

in my recollection of IdPv3, a DataConnector would not run if its
Dependency - defined using as an <InputAttributeDefintion ref="ggg"/> or
an <InputDataConnector ref="myLDAP" attributeNames="ggg"/> - produced an
attribute with 0 values. Is that not the case with IdPv4 anymore?

We have an issue where we want to use a LdapDataConnector's
<FilterTemplate> with that dependent attribute, like 
"(someattribute=$ggg.get(0))", but the templating engine fails since ggg
has no values. Hence the whole resolver fails. If ggg does have values,
everything works as expected.

I could attach an Activation Condition, but is that not overkill?
