Not able to persist session idp cookies

Can you please elaborate on user control. Are you saying we cannot make changes in idp to set cookie as persistent?

We have no support for this, the session layer relies on session cookies. That's much more subject to user control than hardwiring something, browsers all support session restore now anyway, many by default.
