I so appreciate all of the knowledge in all of these post/thread 
conversations and everyone willingness to point me to wiki documentation 
when I can find what I'm hunting or to just answer the questions I

If my Shibboleth IdP were on Linux, is anyone using Zenoss to monitor 
the Shibboleth service using the Zenoss zenpacks for Linux?

How are folks monitoring/alerting their Shibboleth IdP servers and the 
Shibboleth service?
