Yes, I did as well, the schema won't allow the workaround. So there's nothing for it but what I added to the Release Notes. There's still no reason to care in general, but if you had a broken SP that you can't do anything about the only workaround aside from filing a bug is to convert the way the encoding is done to the new way of doing it.

But the SP is also broken and it needs to be fixed.
