hi,
whilst some RPMS are relocatable (using --prefix) the shibboleth package
isnt. for full control of destination directories and locations etc just
rebuild from source.
however, if thats not what you want and if you have a recent/updated
version of CentOS 7 then you should be good to go with the latest RPMS are
just have the package contents put where they are on the filesystem like
pretty much every other package
if you want it all to be self-contained etc then maybe consider using
containerisation and have a shibboleth Docker on the system instead?
if you really really need to, then maybe use eg tripwire. install the RPM
then look at the audit of tripwire to get all the files and locations, then
create their hierarchy under /opt/shibboleth and move everything across.
caution. you will need to edit a lot of things to deal with the new
location, you will need to edit system settings for library locations etc .
you should be able to get it to work but be aware that this makes
maintaining the platform extremely difficult.
