Yes on both accounts.

Rod - maybe due to my earlier (unused) configuration but, I do have the default-[init,destroy] methods present in my file (oidc-metadata-providers.xml) that declares the bean in question. 

Keith - yep, the reload works and it parses my set of clients seemingly without issue, visible in the log

I’m still digging. I’m guessing it really just has to due with the incoming request being incorrect or something.
