idpv4 recommended memory

Unless I'm mistaken, the fairly high memory recommendation for the idp,
at least for ones that were members of large federations, was due to the
need to load the entire metadata file all at once.

Assuming that deployments of idpv4 will likely switch to MDQ for
metadata needs, which only loads metadata if/as needed, is there any new
recommendation for the amount of memory required to run the idp?
