"Login Unsuccessful" after configuring attribute release for https://issues.shibboleth.net/shibboleth

Gotcha.

The "bug" we thought was appropriate to report in Jira is the following error message we saw after upgrading from 3.4.5 to 3.4.6L:

org.springframework.binding.expression.EvaluationException: An ELException occurred getting the value for expression 'opensamlProfileRequestContext.getSubcontext(T(net.shibboleth.idp.authn.context.AuthenticationContext)).addSubcontext(new net.shibboleth.idp.authn.context.ExternalAuthenticationContext(), true).setFlowExecutionUrl(flowExecutionUrl + '&_eventId_proceed=1')' on context [class org.springframework.webflow.engine.impl.RequestControlContextImpl]

We reviewed the release notes for breaking changes and best I can make of it is that we were affected because we're using Shibcas for delegating authentication.

I should add: you're not Consortium members, so the only reason to access Jira is to file a bug or request a new feature, and "something didn't work the way I expected" doesn't imply there's a bug.

So Jira is not your first stop anyway, the list is, and you don't have to wait to get the login issue resolved to ask something.
