one of the components behind the Apache was closing some of the transactions.
So, if that's the case, the Apache threads would be in TIME_WAIT or CLOSE_WAIT and therefore, until some threads will be released, no other requests will be pass to the IDP, am I wrong?



When we were building our IdP v3x services I discovered that the way we were defining the database connection was timing out after an hour or so.  I solved this by creating a bean in global.xml for the database connection.

How are you defining your database connection(s)?
