I guess people just stopped reading once you mentioned you're
running software released 3 years ago, unsupported since 2.5 years:

Others might have been turned off by the 15 MB (!) of files with
TRACE- level logs you sent.

As to your specific question: The last line before your ERROR may
provide a hint, though it's more than half a minute earlier:

Also you left out the beginning of your error message (the line
with "ERROR" on it) which is this:

So it looks to me the error-throwing code isn't even Shibboleth's and
AFAICT may not even be included in the IDP distribution as a
dependency?
If so the amount of support you could expect from this forum would be
even less.
