SP3 - Can't change from default binding template

Hi

Using SP 3.0.3 I'm trying to specify a custom binding template under the
SSO element like so:

<SSO
entityID="https://trainingspare/adfs/services/trust"
template="bindingTemplateManual.html"
outgoingBindings="urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:bindings:HTTP-POST">
SAML2
</SSO>

It looks like the template attribute should be allowed here according to:

https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SP3/SSO

However, it never looks for the specified file, instead always using the
default one. If I use SessionInitiator, then it does look for
template="bindingTemplateManual.html".

Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong to get it working with the
simpler SSO element?
