Solaris SP Build

Hi All

	I have a Solaris 11 server which needs an SP Build.
Installed the Dependencies for Shibboleth-sp 3.0.4 build Failed as it entered apache.

g++: error: cg: No such file or directory
g++: error: unrecognized command line option '-Qoption'
g++: error: unrecognized command line option '-W2,-xwrap_int'
g++: error: unrecognized command line option '-mt'
*** Error code 1

I believe that this is down to the version of g++ / gcc ( 4.8.2 ) 
I then RTFM, realising that V3 has zero support for Solaris due to Compile issues. 

Looking at dropping back to SP 2.6.1 (less than ideal I know ) I start running into dependency failures with newer versions.

What is the most appropriate dependency tree for SP 2.6.1 ?
Conversely which version of GCC may work with SP 3.0.4 on Solaris ?
