Hi Rod, hi all,

Well, I gave a Shibboleth training at the Linuxhotel, and every
participant set up an IdP and an SP. Then we would create a
quasi-federation by consuming each other's metadata. The idea was to
have as little as possible changes in the core configuration
(metadata-providers.xml, shibboleth2.xml), so I thought I could give
LocalDynamic a try this time. With the IdP, that worked perfectly, but
with the SP and the EDS, it didn't, since the DiscoFeed would not have
them.

Actually, to turn your question around, what is the use case for
LocalDynamic at the SP? If discovery is done by another (central) DS,
why not consume metadata from the respective federation? And if
discovery is somehow static (WAYFless URLs, etc), why this dynamic feature?

Regards

Martin
