conflict with SSO setup with MicroStrategy

Thank You for the reply Peter. The links you provided helped and I then realized another issue which resolved the MicroStrategy web administrator page not to show. I am now at the point where I need to configure my ADFS with the correct claims to move forward.

I misspoke. The error message is: "No MetadataProvider available".
So you don't have configured a MetadataProvider in your shibboleth2.xml
