Shibboleth SP

The Shibboleth SP software is separate from the Shibboleth IdP software.  To say that “Shibboleth can act as an SP” really means at a base level that “the Shibboleth SP software can integrate with the service needing to be protected”.

The question is pretty general/broad and there’s nothing specific about it, so perhaps start here?
