You should "fix" that by building your new IDP with a supported release:

"The current stable release of the Identity Provider is V3.4.0, and
there is no supported previous stable release."

Just installing 3.4.0 will make that attribute-resolver.xml work.
That's much better than going back to the old config format only so
that you can continue using already unsupported software for your
"new" IDP.
