Yes, we have SAML authN going from uvic.syzygy.ca<http://uvic.syzygy.ca> to the Shib endpoint at idp.uvic.ca<http://idp.uvic.ca>.

I don't know the details but I would know who to contact. I'm not involved in the project but it runs on the clouds we manage.

I'd start looking at the PIMS repos for implementation details, specific in the the https://github.com/pimsmath/syzygy-infrastructure repo.
