Thank you (and replying on a Sunday, I don't think you take breaks from
following the list past 2 years).
Rereading my email, it did not make logical sense. Here is another attempt.
via mesages.properties
bad-username.message = bad-username.message = User login was not successful.
Please see <a href="https://someurl/">for login to use</a>
For unsuccessful authentication attempts, the message appears on login.vm,
exactly as: User login was not successful. Please see <a href="
https://someurl/">for login to use</a>
I.e the invalid login messages appears exactly as entered into
'messages.properties' and does not display with 'for login to use' as
linked to https://someurl/.

It is not directly a SAML question.. The gap is not knowing how to get the
link to appear in login.vm 'login error' message. I am playing around with
'#parse("login-error.vm")' in 'login.vm', and on the 'login-error.vm' page,
and am missing on how to make it happen.
