Processing HTTP_Redirect from idp

In my limited understanding - it seems that the idp is expecting to contact
*shibboleth*.company.com/Shibboleth.sso/SAML2/POST but instead is
contacting *sso.*company.com/Shibboleth.sso/SAML2/POST
So maybe that is what i'm asking - is there a way, without forcing the idp
to change any configuration, to have the SP "spoof" the POST response as
*shibboleth.*
