Guillaume & Scott,
Thanks for your replies.

Apologies for that, I'd missed the newer release! I'd downloaded it a few weeks ago (following link from wiki), and been doing battle with it ever since. I see now that there a big red banners on the wiki, saying it's no longer supported.

I'll upgrade to the latest and greatest. Doing this solves my log4shib config issue... just need to resolve a few more wrinkles (maybe due to RHEL6 being a little long in the tooth these days):

./configure --with-apxs24=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --enable-apache-24 --prefix=/usr/local/shibsp
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
...
checking for ctime_r... yes, and it takes 2 arguments
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes
checking for  log4shib... yes
checking for  xerces-c >= 3.2... yes
checking for  xml-security-c >= 2... yes
checking for xmltooling >= 3... no
configure: error: Package requirements ( xmltooling >= 3) were not met:

No package 'xmltooling' found

yum list installed | grep xmltooling
libxmltooling8.x86_64            3.0.2-3.1.el6            @security_shibboleth
xmltooling-schemas.x86_64        3.0.2-3.1.el6            @security_shibboleth

Thanks,
Paul

Use the supported version of the SP?
