The short answer is that the IdP most definitely knows the SP
entityID. Without that, there is no way to obtain SP metadata.

Sorry but you're going to have to be more specific before someone can
help you. Given that you're still running IdP V2 (which is WAY beyond
end-of-life), you shouldn't expect too much.
