I don't know what URL you're referring to but if you're already using
RelayState, this should be pretty easy. Ask your IdP admin to include
a RelayState parameter in the POST response. See section 3.5.8 of the
SAML V2.0 Bindings spec.

You should choose an appropriate (fixed) value of RelayState, so that
the user ends up at a generic start page at your SP.
