Is it possible to reload metadata-providers.xml only?

It appears that the curl command "shibboleth.MetadataResolverService" is
the command used to reload the contents of the  metadata-providers.xml
file. However that command also reloads the InCommon and our site specific
metadata hosted on an http server.

Is there a way to load just metadata-providers.xml and not the entire
metadata files?
