Client persistent storage not remembering user

Oh yes. I did not understand this at all :)

By the way, if someone knows how to set the NameID in Spring saml i would
appreciate.

So does a remember me feature exists in Shibboleth ?

If not should this feature be implemented on SP side or on IDP side ? At
first i thought implementing it on IDP side was more obvious.

The implementations i know well is the ones provided by Spring Security :

It may be an encrypted cookie but not very robust, or a more sophisticated
cookie + database table, if i remember.
