Invalid connector configuration (RelationalDatabase) when database is unavailable

Following up:
I've added an activationConditionRef to the connector (instead of to the attribute that needs to be resolved), and attribute resolution no longer fails when the database is offline. However, I'm still getting the invalid connector configuration error when reloading the attribute-resolver when the database is offline. I'm still interested to see how others would proceed.
