OK, I've just tried to follow the steps outlined on that eduGAIN wiki
page -- with current software -- and I end up with errors as well
(included below), after changing 'BasePath' in the provided
config/mda.properties and JAVA_HOME in bin/run-mda.sh.

The provided example config (seemingly based on SWITCHaai's own
example -- from 2014!) is ~450 lines long, so not something to quickly
go through.  That makes it hard for the Shib project to advise, but
maybe someone here can at least identify the underlying error from the
error message below.

@Raja V: I'd suggest taking this to edugain-discuss[1] or the
aforementioned FOG mailing list (or the admins for that "eduGAIN
wiki"), and request that someone updates the provided example config.
