Thanks for that input.  I too have been becoming steadily less enamoured with the AD checkbox and am considering removing it for V4.
It was really just in there in to provide some semblance of functional compatibility with the richer (but unsupportable and
upgradable) AD configuration support that I provided (wrongly in hindsight) as part of the V2 installer.

I'd like V4 to "just" install the IdP and Jetty, leaving the rest of the configuration to be completely standard. After all use of
AD by an IdP does not require running on Windows (as well as vice versa).
