Thank you Scott. You are awesome! BTW, I went to file a bug report about trimming the whitespace off of the idp.authn.LDAP.authenticator property in the ldap.properties file. Do I need to join the Shibboleth consortium or signup for anything? More accurately, where do I file the report?

You didn't rebuild the war.

Static content is best handled by creating a root webapp context in the container and placing the content there in an unpacked tree, it's best to just keep it out of the IdP anyway.
