Move application from Shibboleth idp v2 to idp v3 errors

[Lueders, Paul T CIV (US)]

I have updated the IDP server from to IDP version 3.2.1 and I am using
shibboleth sp version 2.5.4.  All of the applications transitioned well
except for one.
This application has multiple end points and the user credentials need to be
rendered to the application server.
The IDP server is running tomcat7 behind apache 2.4

The errors that are being reported in the application server shibd.log  are
ERROR Shibboleth.ArrtibuteResolver.Query: exception during SAML query to
https://idpu/idp/profile/SAML2/SPAO/AttributeQuery: CURLSOAPTransport Failed
while contacting SOAP Endpoint
(https://idpu/idp/profile/SAML2/SPAO/AttributeQuery) : The requested URL
returned error: 400 Bad request
Shibboleth.ArrtibuteResolver.Query: unable to obtain attribute reponse from
attribute authority
Shibboleth.ArrtibuteResolver.query: exception during SAML query to
https://idpu/idp/profile/SAML2/SPAO/AttributeQuery: CURLSOAPTransport
failed.

The error reported on the idp server is:
SEVERE: Exceded retry attempts while adding to secondary session index
SEVERE: Profile Action UndateSessionWithSession:  Error updating session
226232312312123123123123123 net.shibboleth.idp.session.SessionException:
Exceeded retry attempts while adding to secondary index
 
Any assistance would be appreciated.
