The key is wrong or the software is broken. I know Tableau generally works, so it follows that the key is wrong.

If I'm not confusing it with something else, Tableau was one that regenerates its key and metadata every time you poke at it. I don't recall it being one that I created a key for and uploaded to it (which is inherently wrong, but not unheard of, Salesforce also does it).
