IDP 3 user authentication with oracle DB as back end

Hi Team,
 I have been reading the shib wiki pages for configuring the authentication
flow of my IDP V3.3.1.
 Basically I am trying to do "PasswordAuthn" with oracle DB as the backend.
 I have read the LDAP based authentication setup, so same like LDAP
configuration is there any way to configure oracle db as the data
source(excluding JAAS and http basic auth with container).

If JAAS is the only option for this, how do I configure the JAAS module
with IDP ??
if the user is authenticated via jaas module and how the IDP will get to
know the principal details ?? Basically how the communication between them
will work ??

Please let me know your suggestions, thanks in advance.
