Shibboleth logout redirection problem

I would like to have the link to previous URL shown on the page if a
"logout?return=http://some.url" is provided (similar to:
https://wiki.library.ucsf.edu/display/IAM/Logout+Config?preview=/187957288/188219456/logout-with-url.png).
I don't know how to configure this though, it seems like if I add a
?return=... it will just get cut off and goes to logout page. Any advice is
appreciated. Thank you.
